A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is about a boy who is brought up Irish Catholic in the early 1900s. During his teens, he leaves the church and his family to become an artist.
I used and manipulated one of Marc Chagall's stained glass works for imagery to represent the Catholic Church. The broken stained glass is a representation of Stephen leaving his old life.
Anil's Ghost is about a forensic anthropologist and her discoveries in Sri Lanka. She is hired to examine a skeleton from the 6th century but once she takes a closer look, she discovers it was a recent murder.
Using my own photography, I set up skeletal-looking letters and an eerie atmosphere to represent the tone of the story.
